THE SAFETY OF LEFLUNOMIDE DURING PREGNANCY OR BREASTFEEDING

 

THIS MEDICATION CAN CAUSE HARM TO YOUR BABY: Although there is limited available information on the safety of leflunomide in human pregnancy, leflunomide is considered an animal teratogen (an agent or factor which causes malformation of a developing baby). Leflunomide is contraindicated during pregnancy, and has been associated with normal and abnormal pregnancy outcomes in humans. Information is limited related to the safety of leflunomide in nursing infants, and it should not be used while breastfeeding.
