INFORMATION FOR WOMEN WHO HAVE DENTAL PROBLEMS DURING PREGNANCY OR BREASTFEEDING
What are dental problems?
Dental problems include any condition in which the primary symptoms involve the teeth, gums, or other parts of the mouth. The most common dental condition is a carie (often called a cavity), which is an infection that’s limited to the crown of the tooth. Dental problems also include infections that go deeper into the tooth, to the pulp cavity, as well as problems with the gums, including periodontitis (inflammation of the gums) and other tissues around the tooth.
