THIS MEDICATION CAN CAUSE HARM TO YOUR BABY: Demadex (torsemide) should only be taken during pregnancy if medically necessary, as determined by your doctor. This medication can reduce blood volume in expecting moms and reduce blood flow to the placenta, which could interfere with the proper growth and development of the baby. No studies or reports have described the use of torsemide during pregnancy. The risks of torsemide to the developing baby are largely unknown.
