I am due in May with my second, my toddler is excited about the baby, but I am worried that once the baby is here she will be jealous of the attention the baby will need.   Any tips on how to avoid/ handle sibling jealousy would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, this will happen no mater what in both directions. I think the best thing to do is parent each kid where and who they are. So you are clear with their uniques and then help them discover more about themselves. Find things that they are naturally good at and enjoy and double down!

I'm here too and it's really hard but just try to give them each individual attention if you can.

My best friend has two that are 15 months apart! The older boy has always been very clingy and she was worried when her daughter was born he would be jealous. Surprisingly... he is SO sweet to her! He occasionally has times he is naughty and tries to take toys or get moms attention, but I think just letting them be involved and close and maybe even getting the older sibling their own baby doll to hold or dress is good practice.

Let the older child help out and they will feel involved. Let them grab diapers or whatever they can do.

Sibling rivalry is normal, as long as it doesnt get out of control I wouldn't worry about it.

I am going through that now with my boys, 3 and 5.  They are so jealous of each other.  I try to give each one as much attention as possible, but being a single parent, it gets rough.  I start to worry that they will not be close the older they get with all the jealousy they have.  I wish I had advice to you give you.  All I can say is hopefully that will not become an issue for you.
