When did you tell people you were expecting? Did you tell them right away? Did you wait the 12-13 weeks? Did you tell some people and not others?

With our first we announced to family at around 10 weeks and the rest of the world when we got to the second trimester. I felt like the weeks started to pass soooo slowly after we shared the news, though. So with baby #2 we waited until I was starting to show to tell anyone. It has seemed to make pregnancy not feel quite so long and drawn out this time around!

We're so ready to tell but will likely wait until the 12 week mark, might cave and tell our parents sooner.

With my first I did it once the Doctor confirmend it with blood work, my second we waited until week 15 just to make sure everything was good.

We waited the full 12 weeks to tell family. I did tell me best friend right away though. If anything bad were to happen she would be the one I would want to lean on.

Unfortunately, my close friends knew that I was expecting before I did lol.

I've only just found out our insemination worked. I'll probably tell my mom this weekend.

Well, my neighbor heard me scream through the wall (Florida apartments have thin walls), and he came over to check on me. I had just gotten my results.  I couldn't not tell him.

I waited until after my first trimester. My mama said it's bed luck, otherwise.

I generally go by the 12 week rule, but sometimes told family earlier.

I shared RIGHT AWAY with both pregnancies-not on social media, but definitely with my friends and family. We wanted to share in the excitement and new we would need the support if God forbid something happened. I know this is very controversial and completely understand & respect those who wait, but for us, we wanted to shout it from the rooftops :-)

I waited super long time, well longer than the rest of society would expect.  Usually people do 3 months, I did longer or intended on it for some people, wasn't sure what I would do with my close friends.  I ended up telling them sooner than I thought because I had to see them at a memorial mass and it would have been obvious!

We told closest family - siblings and parents when we were about 4 weeks along.  That beginning is sort of a grey area.  It depends on how far along you are when you find out, or if you want to wait until you go to the first dr. appointment.

Great question, I have been wondering the same! It makes me nervous the whole process of telling people and then deciding when and not because I can't find the time but because you just don't know what the outcome, medically or with the baby will be.  It's like I am thinking the situation has to be perfect in order to share the news early on if that makes sense.

Wait at least until after the first trimester to share the great news!

With my first I didn't even know for 6 weeks. My immediate family knew but I didn't tell friends until 12 weeks+. I told the internet at like 6 months. With my last I waited for everyone except my husband until 12 weeks.
