My son is 5 and I think he's ready to fly on an airplane. When did you take your child on a plane for the first time?

My little one's first flight was at 10 months old. I was well prepared with Tylenol, Clorox wipes, baby wipes, hand sanitizer, snacks and milk bottles. Our flight was only 2.5 hours, so he slept the entire flight going and coming. The flight experience was great-- the TSA process was hell!

I took my 1 year old to Florida. It was a little bumpy at first, but he calmed down and the rest of the flight was fine. Good luck!

We usually travel by car with my family of five. It's just cheaper. We did fly once with our second child before the third was born. She was about 3 months old. It was a great flight, she had no issues. I went prepared for the worst and was pleasantly surprised. I think 5 is more than ready to fly. Find fun small things to do and lots of snakes. You'll do great.

My daughter went on a plane at 4 months old and it was awesome. No issues and we had to take four flights during that first trip together. Come prepared with everything you think you might need.
