My little one has recently discovered he can pull his penis out of his diaper and pee on the floor. He is 18 months old. I have currently stepped in 3 puddles since 8 AM. If were just around home he will hang out in a diaper all day if we aren't going anywhere. I am wondering whether I should get a potty and just introduce it ( not attempt to fully potty train yet) or just put clothes on him so he cant get to it.

I would do a mix of both!

As frustrating as that is, I think it is amazing that he is recognizing how to urinate "on command."  I found that to be the biggest hurdle of potty training.  So if he is connecting the dots between pulling off his diaper and going potty, I'd say start potty training!  It is awesome to train young before they get too defiant, and you also save lots of money on diapers!

18 months is definitely not too early! Get that potty together, momma, because it sounds like he's ready. Give him incentives to start using it like a gummy, or an m&m every time he uses it. You'll be surprised at how fast it takes. Let him run around naked, and use that potty, and give him small consequences when he doesn't. It worked for mine!

You could do a mix of both. It's not too early to introduce the concept of using the potty, but putting on a onesie while you're not working with him should help.
