Are you the type of mom that has to know the gender, or do you prefer the surprise? I’m personally waiting to see what my husband and I are having! Just dying to know other people’s opinions on the matter! (I’m a first time mom by the way)

Hi Samantha!

This is such a fun topic! We wanted to know what we were having but before I could even tell my ultrasound tech, she ended up saying it out loud! Good thing I wanted to know anyway! HA!

We are considering having another baby, and I think this time around I would want it to be a surprise...

By the way, congratulations!!!

Yay! Congratulations! My husband and I couldn’t wait to find out. There was no waiting for us lol We were hoping for a boy, and that’s what it was! The best part about knowing was the shopping part hands down. I’ll be curious to know what you end up having!

Congratulations Samantha! I did want to know with my girl. Mainly because I am a planner and I wanted to be as prepared as possible. And I didn't want anything in yellow or green. But that being said, now that I am older, I think I would want to be surprised!

So do you know what you are having yet?

Congrats Sam! Woot Woot!  I personally would rather know ahead of time because just like Heather, I am a planner and like to keep everything organized. I like to prep and have everything as best as possible.  Not necessarily with pink and blue color but with whatever theme is chosen for the baby.

I can get on board with wanting to be prepared for sure! But there is that element of having the biggest surprise ever the second that precious baby is born! I think it's easier to be surprised after you have already had one since you know much better what to expect! Like...what you need at home, etc... Although, I know many women who waited even on their first! Such patience! LOL

I have no patience to wait and find out. HAHAHA! I had to find out as soon as I can.  Thankfully, I had 2 girls but if I would of had a boy surprise on the second pregnancy.  I would have no idea what to do.  At least with girl, I knew what to expect.

And happy for you Samantha. Congratulations to you and your husband.

I am 2.5 months in myself and I do want to find out.  If my husband doesn't then I won't tell him. I will respect his decision.

Yes, I wanted to find out as well. I'm very much into the whole decorating the nursery and having everything prepared for when she came. My husband wanted to know as well. So we found out as soon as we could. But I get that some people dont want to know. It would be thrilling. But that just wasn't for us.

Congratulations! My OCD would drive me crazy to have everything in perfect order and wanting it to be specific to the gender so I am a have to know person!! I'd be wondering every single second if I was a boy or girl.

Congratulations Samantha! I too would want to know. But I know so many people who keep it quiet until a reveal party. Even keeping it a secret from Mom and Dad. But I think if I already had a boy and a girl I would be ok not knowing and keeping it a surprise.

Congratulations!. I would love to know so I know what to buy. But if you prefer it the other way, it is an exciting choice also. Just think of the anticipation of finding out not until the big day.

I myself want to know so I can be prepared. I’m not big on surprises. We are pregnant with our first and I can’t wait to find out. I’m counting down the days to our gender reveal. I’m actually thinking about finding out then not telling anyone and make them all surprised. I think that’d be fun. Best of luck to everyone.

I found out with my first but this time around we are making it a surprise. It’s actually kind of fun going back and forth of guessing and looking at old wives tales to see if it’s a boy or girl. My dr is excited as well.

Thanks ladies! I still have a little over 2 months left till we find out. It’s going to be the longest two months ever! We did greys and white for babies room - farmhouse style (my favorite) so when he/she comes we can do a “pop a color!”

We are keeping the gender a surprise! We did with our first baby and I enjoyed the anticipation soo much! It was actually my partner's idea! He was right about something---how much I would enjoy it!
