Hi Mommas! What are some things you guys do for self care when you have kids? I used to love going to the salon and getting massages but those aren't feasible for me now with a family. What do you guys do for self care at home ?

When my toddler goes down for a nap, I find something to do that I enjoy.  It might be watching a TV show I've been into, or finishing a book I've been reading.  Sometimes I even go outside and do some gardening.  It's nice to have that small amount of time to focus on something I'm interested in.

Read, watch a grown up show, clean, play a game you enjoy, or take a bath!!

I read and like to wear face masks when i have the time. There are so many fun ones to choose from at places like Target and Ulta and affordable

I do bubble baths after my baby goes to bed! And I also cook every night. I love to cook. My husband takes my baby and I put on a podcast and cook away!

How long does your toddler nap? We are really struggling with nap times with my two year old.

Going to the gym is my self care! On my particularly stressful days a yoga class and the sauna are life savers

I usually settle in with a glass of wine and social media after the kids go to sleep at night. I know these are two pretty bad habits, but they help me unwind.

Pamper yourself with a bubble bath and some facial masks. Nothing like a spa day at home for a heck of a lot less!

I love winding down with a movie at home with the hubby. I love taking a super hot bath too and pulling out the stops on pampering (ex: hair mask, face mask, under eye treatment, exfoliating, lotion, etc) Super rejuvenating, especially if you had a nightmare parenting day.

The gym is amazing, yoga if you can go if not at home works great too!

Do your nails, catch up on shows, read. Anything that will relax you for a few.

I get out of the house and exercise. Nature is so important and fresh air is great for the mind. Yes it's nice to sit and have a bath, but what does that do in the long run? Exercise has been proven over and over to be one of the best mood enhancers there is. Plus, what's wrong with getting in shape while you're at it? 45 mins a day just 3-4 times a week can do wonders for your body and mind.

I take time to exercise at least 4 days per week and I'm always reading a good book, even if I only get 10 minutes of reading time in at a time!  It's worth it!

Like most moms have said I love to workout, read, binge on Netflix, and my big indulgence is getting a pedicure when I can! I also love sweets in bed!

Take a bath!  I wait until my kids are in bed so that I know I will have uninterrupted time (usually...) and take a hot bath, light some candles, put on a face mask and read or listen to music.  It really does wonders!

I like to light a candle and do a face mask with a glass of sparkling apple cider. I used to do it with wine before I got pregnant!

Doing a facemask, curling up in bed and watching a show, leave the dishes in the sink and go to bed early!

It's hard to find the time, money, or even sometimes motivation for self care after kids. You can do little things, like take a little extra time in the shower just standing in the hot water and stretching, or telling dad he's on duty while you take a 10 minute walk or hour nap. Have family help you out so you can get some time to yourself.
