My son is about to turn 16. He doesn't have many hobbies, he is very laid back and chill kind of guy. He plays piano and soccer. Has his first girlfriend so she and her family need to be included. Will NOT give me any clues as to a birthday party but I want it to be special for him. Any ideas?

How about doing dinner out somewhere or at a place like Dave and Busters?

I think going to do an activity like going to play Putt Putt or to a go-cart place could be fun!

We ended up using our school gym and everyone played volleyball/basketball. We had pizza, chips, cupcakes and ice cream. It was very chill and laid back, just like my son. He seemed to have a good time

That is such a good idea Megan, I would have never thought of doing that.  But I'm going to keep that in mind for future parties.

Maybe a simple bbq or dinner somewhere fun! Like Donna mentioned, some golf or bowling possibly

I have the perfect thing if you can swing the cost: an escape room!

Dinner at Dave and Busters or a similar type place would be a graet option..

Is lazer tag and go carts still a thing? Not cool to do when youre 16?

Dave and Buster's would be cool. Teenage boys don't want too much
