reminds me of the episode from Friends where Ross tries to talk to his son lol. I agree, with Kennedy, apparently they can hear sounds in the 3rd trimester

My hubby talks to belly every night and I sing to her daily. Sometimes I read to her because I think she can recognize voices out of womb.

I would always talk to my belly!! From my understanding they can recognize your voice.

I always talked to my belly. It wasn't a planned thing, I just started realizing I would talk to the baby a lot. I like to think they hear our voices.

I loved it with my first! I would always play WIld Flowers by Tom Petty. When she was born we played the song and she calmed down right away.

I always talked to my babies. Almost unconsciously. But I loved it, and I think they can totally recognize our voices.

I talked to my kiddo all the time, especially in the car. My ob was about one hour away and I'd always have long talks with her to and from 😊 Now she covers my mouth when I talk. 😂

Big belly talker over here! I would walk my child through my day, sing to her, and play music!

100% I talked to my belly from the second I found out I was pregnant! This might sound totally out there but my kids both have a unique bond with my co-worker who I share an office with... I think because they heard her voice throughout my entire pregnancy!! They hear, recognize and take comfort in our voices for sure!

I love talking to my belly! I actually would do it unconsciously at first! But I think its a great way to bond with baby before baby comes. And I totally believe they recognize our voices.

I do, and I know it doesn't have ears yet. It's sort of like having a new best friend I can talk to all the time.

I talked to my wife's belly and vice versa. I think it helped us stay bonded through the process.

Candy posted this 18 February 2020

I think it's totally normal and babies will know your voice, even if you don't talk directly to them. No harm, no foul either way.

My husband talked to the baby belly every single night the entire pregnancy. The moment she was born, she was screaming... daddy walked over to her, held her hand and said, "daddy loves you". She immediately stopped crying and looked around for his voice. The more he talked the more calm she became. I realized at this moment the power of talking to the belly. The baby can definitely recognize voices.

Jessica posted this 21 February 2020

I always did! I definitely think my son recognized my voice on the outside. It is a nice bonding experience!

I think talking to your belly is important for both you and the baby, it's a good way to stay grounded and remind yourself of the journey you're on and with another being! Baby's do recognize familiar sounds after birth too.

I do this! I tell them what I'm doing throughout the day and just chat. My husband reads baby books to my belly at night. It's pretty darn sweet.

Erin posted this 12 March 2020

I talk to my belly! I call baby "Bean" right now and randomly say things throughout the day or hubby will pat my belly and say "Goodnight Beany"  and that sort of thing. I haven't read to my bump or anything yet and honestly people who don't know I'm preggers probably think I'm crazy.

I tried talking to my belly and I loved when my baby would kick, it's almost like they just know.

andrea posted this 29 March 2020

I never really talked to my belly; felt too weird to me. I do plenty of talking in general though, so I felt like my son got plenty of exposure to my voice. lol
