I'm throwing a gender/pregnancy reveal for a  friend, and I'm totally out of fresh ideas. What did you do for your little ones? Anything clever you've heard of? And yes, it's an all-in-one!

I saw a friend recently had a taco themed one that I never saw before! They opened a taco which had a toy or color for the baby inside with confetti or strings of the color of the gender. I thought it was super unqiue and fun if you are hispanic or just love tacos!

I think gender reveals are so much fun, even if you do the same stuff!  The cake, cupcakes, balloons, and boxes are all so much fun.  I don't think anyone will leave thinking they wish it was revealed better, so you might as well keep it simple! We also had pink and blue m&ms and crepe paper.

Is it ok to NOT want a big reveal like that, just something simple? I feel so much pressure but I don't like the idea myself for me. It's just not something I am into. I think it's cute when others do it but I have no desire. MIL is a pain in the butt trying to get a huge thing going.

I think something small and intimate for sure!

It's absolutely okay! I'm not a fan of gender reveal parties for a lot of reasons (no shade to anyone who is into them, but they're not my thing, and sometimes they get into really sexist territory). If you don't want one, just tell your MIL you want to stick to just a traditional baby shower and let her go wild planning that. I'm guessing she won't let you avoid both, lol.

I love the ones where someone takes a photo and says "One two three ___s Pregnant!" and snaps a photo.

Mine was kinda interesting, at least in my opinion it was. We threw a reveal party at my moms house that was twinkle twinkle little star themed. We tried to stay with dark blues and pinks and some yellow as to not favor a gender color. We found this really cool “twinkle twinkle little star, don’t you know how loved you are” canvas on amazon and used it as a photo backdrop. The actual reveal was paint on canvas. My sister wrote “twinkle twinkle little star” and my due date underneath it and we had a tack poked through and I threw the balloons at the canvas. I have really bad aim so it didn’t work out as planned and I just put the balloon up to it to pop. The result was really nice even if the process was ehh. It’s a nice little addition to the nursery.

I live in a rural town so one of the ones that I really think is cute is deer! You do does and bucks. I’ve seen where they set up a target and shoot a paint filled balloon(blue or pink) with a bow and arrow. Really cute

We live in the city and are expecting, we are older and don't want a lot of people.  Maybe a rooftop party where our guests just think it's a get together but really...an announcement haha!

We did a photo shoot (The first of many I convinced my husband to do) but we told our family before we posted it.

I had my close friends and family around and we just did a little house party ! It was nice to not have a huge party and was great being able to all be together to celebrate!

We did a brunch, very low key gender reveal with our closest family and friends.

I think doing something small and low key is the best way to go!

If it's an all-in-one I'm gonna have to agree with the rest of the ladies and do an small, intimate gathering.

But wait, you said a reveal for you, too! So you will have the info in an envelope? Maybe do something silly like pin the tail on the donkey and whoever gets closest gets to open the letter 😂 😂

We actually did a reveal with our dog.  The information went to a trusted friend (or family member) during the reveal in private.  Ahead of time, we bought a pink bow and a blue bow for the dog.  Our friend opened the envelope in private and put the appropriate bow on our dog and let him loose into the party!  Everyone was so excited to see him and he was so excited--it really was great energy.

What we did for my sister-in-law's gender reveal is we put balloons inside of a bag. When we opened the bag the balloons flew out and she saw that the balloons were pink, which revealed it was a girl. If it were a boy we would have used blue balloons.
