Anyone have any tips or tricks? My toddler eats hot dogs and chicken nuggets and peanut butter sandwiches and some fruits. Veggies are a super struggle. He will eat snacks all day if you let him though!

My baby is 13 months old, and is starting to be picky about foods. So far what helps most is feeding her from my plate. If I am eating it then she wants it! Also, I make her a plate of various foods (veggies) so she is bound to eat something.

If he'll drink smoothies, load them with veggies. The fruit covers the taste, and I always called it a Monster Smoothie if it turned green. I've thrown in kale and carrots (not at the same time, per se). I've also blended in additional veggies into spaghetti sauce. You could also try things like carrot muffins, zucchini bread (or even zucchini brownies. Yes, it's a thing.)

I read once to put a "safe" food that the kid will love, a maybe food, and a "stretch" food on the plate each meal. This has really helped us over the last few years with my picky toddler. Even if he won't touch the stretch food he's getting exposed to the texture, smell, etc. and may poke at it next time!
