I've been on the fence about finding out the sex of my baby. Pros and cons?? I love the idea of being surprised. But I've been seeing all these cute pictures and videos of gender reveal parties.... and finding out the sex by cutting into a cake?!

I want to be surprised if we have another baby, but for some reason I can never wait!

i found out the gender when i had the results of my nipt so no gender reveal party for me. but planning on doing a photo shoot!

I always assumed I'd find out but I do think leaving it to be a surprise would be neat now that I think about it. If I can get him on board maybe we will wait till the birth!

I've been planing a gender reveal party with cake and balloons and everything but last week I accidentally saw the screen and we are having a boy ))))

We will do a gender reveal bbq with a pinata cake I think, family and close friends. I like the idea of a cake with the middle hollowed out and colored candies falling out instead of a pink or blue cake itself to cut into.

My partner wants to wait, but I am so excited about this pregnancy and I can't wait to find out.

I can't wait, I'm so excited to find out. I just want to find out at our next appointment, just the two of us and then tell people as we're ready. I don't think we'll fool with a gender reveal party but I LOVE going to them!

We wanted to wait with my first pregnancy (twins).  But when we went for the anatomy scan ultrasound, baby boy was spread eagle showing off his parts, so that blew that.  Lol.  Once we knew one, we had to know the other.  One of each!

We personally found out the gender of both of our babies. I wouldn't have done it any other way. I understand some people like the surprise of finding out the gender the day of birth, however, it is just as exciting to find out in a fun way with all your family and friends. We had a gender reveal party for our first and went out to eat as a family for our second and had the waiter write the gender on a dessert. The whole waiting staff got involved and it was a very memorable experience. I am a very organized person that likes planning ahead, so I loved knowing the gender of the baby and picking out clothes/decor to match. Either way, it's an exciting moment. You decide what's best for you!

I was SO excited to find out I was pregnant I was sure that I would be having a gender reveal as well

There was no way I could wait!  I thinks small, low key reveal parties are fine.  I think sometimes people go a little too crazy.

Both has it's perks. I have 6 kids + 1 late miscarriage, and we found out with the first and the last two. It was nice to know what I was having to prepare for my first kid, but it was fun to be the first one to find out what my baby once for the ones who we waited for. My last two pregnancies we found out with the genetic testing. I'm really glad we did for the first of the two because I ended up miscarrying her at 15 weeks. Then we found out for the last one - it was just nice to know.

We found out with ours but didn't do a gender reveal party or anything. If/when we have another I kind of want to be surprised but I am SUCH a planner that I don't know if I will be able to stand it lol

I wish I was the type that could wait but I am a planner so I just couldn't. I wanted to know what room décor to buy, what to put on the registry, bedding, all that good stuff. I would have loved to do the whole gender reveal thing because I've seen the cutest ideas recently but I know my type A personality won't allow it!

I found out around 12 weeks because I would not wait lol. Now, since it wouldn't be my first kid I think waiting would be kind of fun! There is so many gender neutral things out there now, it wouldn't be that bad! or you could stock up on essential things and when baby is born go crazy!

I WISH I was laid back enough to wait and see.  But I'm neurotic and a planner, and I MUST know ahead of time!

Love this idea!

I found out with my son and with my daughter and for this pregnancy I want it to be a complete surprise. I am on the fence too and have always wanted to do a silly string reveal! Where only one person knows and goes out buys as many cans of the appropriate colored silly string and then covers the can so no one can see the color and then on the count of three everyone shoots silly string at each other. My kids would have so much fun and i think it could make for great photos

I found out, I don't like surprises LOL! I also LOVE the idea of a gender reveal. I didn't do a party but definitely would for my next baby. There are so many cute ideas out there. Another way to capture the memories

We found out as soon as we could! We were too impatient to wait 😂

Gender reveal parties are fun, but if you’re an introvert like me, they can be pretty overwhelming!
