My 14 year old was so sweet growing up... and he has turned into a hormone monster. Any advice on how to handle the attitude?

Hormones are horrible!  That age is so difficult.  I wish I had great advice, and if anyone does I would love to hear it.  I suggest encouraging her to talk about her feelings all the time, so nothing builds up.  And also making sure she is aware she might have more feelings during that time of the month.

Hormone changes are completely normal. If you do some research you'll see medically why teenagers act the way they do. It gave me so much more patience with them knowing that they are not in full control of their actions! Just be there for them and love them and communicate. Mom of 4 boys here, including two teens.

Oh boy! I am no expert on this for sure, my daughter is 9 years old. I need to prepare for this though for certain! I have to follow this thread. Hope things get better for you.

I think anyone going through this stage would have a hard time adjusting. Hormonal changes are very normal and the chaos that comes with it is inevitable, unfortunately.

Try giving her a good outlet she can turn to like riding her bike or reading or art. Let her know you're there for her but give her some space so she can think through things.
