When did you start chores with your little one? What chores were they?

By 3, I think they should be picking up after themselves/ putting toys away.

Doing chores together when they are 2-4 is a great way to bond and show them how to be helpful. My 4 year old now has his own chores like cleaning up after himself and putting his laundry away.

Once my wee one gets the concept of making her bed and picking up her toys, those are her chores until she is about five. Then we can see where we go to next.

One of my girls has full on chores and has since she was 5 or 6. She had to make her bed before school and pick up her room (including putting her dirty laundry in the hamper). Now that she is 11, she has to clean her cats, cat box and sweep her room and the stairs to her room (along with the ones listed above). I am too OCD to let her do the dishes (we tried a few times and she gets too easily distracted to do them correctly).

My almost 3 year old I try to get her to help me with a couple different things. We put dishes away together and try to clean her room up. She also helps me unload/load the washer and dryer.
