Did you find out the gender when you were pregnant? I can't wait until the ultrasound when I can find out! I don't understand how people can go the whole time without knowing!

It was an option when I was pregnant with my now adult son, but I will for sure find out if I am blessed with another opportunity. I am not a patient person and there's no way I could wait!

Melissa posted this 24 May 2019

Yes we did know the gender of our child, but we wanted to keep it a secret ( or you may say a surprise ) from the rest of our family and friends...except for our close family members they knew it too. So everyone knew about it, after I got delivered. 😊

That’s so cool Melissa! I bet your family didn’t think it was cool though!

I am for sure going to find out, our appointment is next week! We have a girl already, so anxious to find out what these two are!

Mandy posted this 24 May 2019

This is the first time (out of 5 pregnancies!) that we have not found out the gender! I was doing pretty good with it, but now that it’s getting closer I am itching to find out! I’m thinking girl, but husband is convinced it’s a boy.

OMG There's no way I can go the whole time without knowing! We just found out we're pregnant and I'm already dying to find out! 😱

I guess if I already had at least one of each gender, I would consider having it be a surprise, especially since then I'd probably have everything I'd need for each! 😂

Jennifer posted this 24 May 2019

YES, me too!  I think it's awesome people can be surprised, but I don't get it at all 😂  I even got early sonograms at those gender reveal places when I was 14 weeks... both were right!  Sooo much fun.

Same, I have a need to be prepared. I found out with both of my pregnancies. I was ready to start hopping.

Michelle posted this 25 May 2019

I'm going into my 16th week and CAN NOT WAIT to find out the gender!!!

BUT, we did do the bloodworm to find out the chances of genetic issues and I told the doctor I don't want to learn the gender from that - I want the nice ultrasound where I can SEE!

Kathryn posted this 26 May 2019

We found out with both of our girls! I just couldn't wait!! Good luck!

Laura posted this 27 May 2019

We didn't! And this was our first! We bought everything gender neutral and instead of a baby shower before he was born, we're going to do a baby shower when he's 8 weeks for all the gender-specific clothes and non-newborn items.

It was actually a lot of fun not knowing! Our family and my hubby's work each had a poll/bet going; my husband lost lol but I won! Winners split the pot so I got a whopping $10 lol

We plan on having at least two more so it's not like we were "aiming" to have a boy or a girl.

I had to find out! I'm a planner so there's no way I could have waited.

Abby posted this 29 May 2019

I just had to know! Couldnt wait that long!!

Allie posted this 30 May 2019

We had to! I needed to plan everything!

Sarah posted this 01 June 2019

I cannot imagine not knowing the gender 😅 I think it makes preparation much easier. There is so much going on during a pregnancy that it would be just one more thing I'd stress about 😬 I think it's helpful for those getting you gifts as well!

Kira posted this 02 June 2019

How the heck do people wait to find out haha no way!!! I can't even wait to find out what my bday or Christmas presents are, I was digging in my parents closet every holiday to find out. I think it is probably easier to shop for too!

Kayleigh posted this 09 June 2019

I couldn't possibly wait that long, so we found out both times! Helped me with planning too and making sure I had all the stuff I wanted!

Pepper posted this 09 June 2019

We did. Waiting to be surprised wasn't an option for us😁 We were so eager to learn the gender and as soon as the sonographer said they could tell, we asked them to tell us immediately.

Christie posted this 11 June 2019

I found out the gender of my baby around 11 weeks. We did a blood test that tested for the sex of the baby, as well as for any possible genetic issues. We then let all of our family know immediately. We never had a gender reveal party.

Jennier posted this 16 June 2019

I understand why people might not find out. and either way, I prefer to have more gender neutral stuff rather than all pink or blue. But, I'm just too curious to wait a whole 40 weeks! I'm planning to find out, and I can't wait!

Jesse posted this 18 June 2019

I found out the baby's gender as soon as possible(10 weeks, 0 days), with a blood test. This allowed me to start planning how to prep baby's room and get it ready for the arrival. This also allowed me a head start on picking a name. Personally, how could anyone wait to find out?

Chloe posted this 18 June 2019

Yes! I don’t know how anyone can wait for the baby to be born. I would be stressing about planning- baby names, room decorations, baby clothes. I know it might be silly, but I needed all that time during pregnancy to think about these things while knowing the gender lolll

Mary posted this 18 June 2019

I think it is so cool that people wait because you used to have no choice but to find out at the end haha but I could never wait that long now that we have the option to know.

May posted this 18 June 2019

Yes, but it was a reveal between my husband and I. Very intimate I loved it <3

Haley posted this 20 June 2019

I was going to wait, but couldn’t stand it any longer so we found out lol I like knowing. It makes me feel more prepared. I do like the idea of waiting though

Sasha posted this 20 June 2019

Haha! ME TOO! I just wanted to start decorating the nursery and buy baby clothes LOL.

I just had to know! Couldnt wait that long!!

Melanie posted this 20 June 2019

I couldnt wait with either of mine! It was like torture waiting to find out.. so yea I didnt wait!

Gina posted this 24 July 2019

I agree, I could never wait.  We found out the sex of the baby as soon as we could, which was just after 10 weeks.  We had the non-invasive genetic blood test, which I am so in favor of, and it checks for sex chromosomes.  More power to those that want a "surprise," but I think it's a surprise whenever you find out!

Hillary posted this 24 July 2019

I also found out as soon as possible!  I wanted as much information about my baby as I could get my hands on!

Lori posted this 25 July 2019

I absolutely had to find out! I'm a big planner and wanted to paint and register for the appropriate stuff!

Ambria posted this 25 July 2019

Part of me wishes I was the type of person who could just be surprised, but I definitely wasn't. We actually found out through NIPT testing around 13 weeks along. They were testing for abnormalities, but finding out the sex early on was a perk.

Emma posted this 25 July 2019

Yes we found out gender! We wanted to be able to plan for what we wanted to buy and put on our registry! I was very excited to find out gender. I also think that it could be fun and very exciting to wait but I am not sure I ever could!

Betsey posted this 25 August 2019

Did not find out with either. Was super easy for us just drove everyone else nuts. Choosing two names was the worst part.

Jennifer posted this 26 August 2019

We did! We are very organized people, and we wanted to be prepared with pink or blue! And we were able to have about 5 names picked out too. Just helped us to feel more organized. I love the idea of a surprise though!! We know several friends that let it be a surprise. There are so many gender neutral things out there now!

Tara posted this 26 August 2019

Yes! We found out with both of ours.  We found out just the two of us first and then told friends/family!

Alice posted this 28 August 2019

gerry posted this 28 August 2019

yes, but i had to do genetic testing on the embryo prior to transfer so that info provided the gender! a boy! i was happy to know!

Ana posted this 31 August 2019

I had to! I was way to anxious to wait until the end of the pregnancy. We did do a gender reveal where my husband knew the gender and I didn't. I was so surprised!

Tanya posted this 31 August 2019

I actually did wait to be surprised by the gender because I already had a boy and a girl so I was excited for whatever I was having. I ended up with a girl! Yay for girls!

Maggie posted this 18 September 2019

I think I'm in the minority, but we haven't found out the gender for any of our three babies!  Everyone calls us crazy, but I love the surprise.  Obviously it would be easier to know the gender, but when else in life can you have this big of a surprise for so long?!?  And both options are great!  I do find it difficult to have to come up with two names, though.

Sarah posted this 18 September 2019

I had to find out too, there is no way I can go that long without knowing something!

Charlene posted this 19 September 2019

I knew I couldn't wait. I had to have blood tests done because of my age so was able to find out the gender at 10 weeks! Which means I knew before i even shared the news with many people. If I had a second I would consider waiting but probably wouldn't be able to.

Roxy posted this 19 September 2019

Me and my husband did IVF and everything was so calculated and not a surprise at all so we decided we were going to not find out the gender. Then i got pregnant and that went out the window. I couldn't wait until the ultrasound either so we did the blood test through our midwife and did a gender reveal party at 15 weeks.
