First let me say I love that my baby turns to me for comfort, but...  I have four other kids and my 7 week old wants to nurse constantly.  She's not always actively nursing, just comfort nursing, so I know it's not a supply or growth spurt thing.

How do you cope with constantly nursing?  Should I try subbing a pacifier?  Or just figure out how to nurse on the fly?

I hear ya! With other kids it’s such a tough balance between wanting the baby to be on a set schedule so that you’ll have more time with the other kids, and the inability to have a schedule at ALL because of the other kids needs and activities!!! I feel like comfor nursing for a short while is totally fine, but you probably don’t want to do that forever so you might want to just write down what you’re doing now and how you’d like for your day to go and try to start working towards that point. Subbing a paci or anything to distract the baby during the times nursing isn’t necessary sounds like a good plan.
