Is coffee ok to drink while pregnant? I've heard a lot of controversy over this and was not sure if I should stay away from it or not.

My doc said a cup a day was fine when I was pregnant and breastfeeding, and thank goodness! I'm not sure I could give up my coffee.

A cup of coffee a day will not hurt the baby, but you have to watch your caffeine intake throughout the day.

200 ml or less is fine for the baby. So that's about a cup of coffee per day. There's some controversy because there are women who firmly believe coffee creates ADHD in children. There is no evidence of that, however.

If you are a regular coffee drinker and you can stomach it, a cup a day won't hurt. Try decaf if you are worried or hot tea yum!

I couldn't function without my daily cup of coffee!  A cup or two is not going to hurt anything.  I drank coffee every day with my first dd too, and she's perfectly healthy.

There is up to a certain milligram of caffeine that they suggest a day. I would get a double shot of espresso but a regular cup or two won’t hurt. I drank it the whole time I was pregnant with both my daughters.

I think it's fine for most people. I personally stopped drinking coffee the, I really could not stand the smell. But I still drank green teas

I quit drinking Diet Coke and all caffeine when I found out I was pregnant. It was a good time to quit.

I didn’t drink coffee in the beginning of my pregnancy, honestly because it didn’t sound good to me (which is very strange for me, haha) 

I slowly added it in, and still drink it while breastfeeding too. I don’t overload on it but it’s 6 or 7 days a week. No issues!

with my first I didn't care for coffee but now that I am aging lol I drink it but I think I just like it for the taste so I started drinking decaf but not everyday maybe 3 times a week. I was craving the Starbucks cold brew so once a month or I would wait until I really really wanted it then I would buy one.

If you're a coffee drinker, one to two cups won't hurt. if in doubt, try decaf? I would worry about the sugar in drink intake lol

There's definitely a limit with caffeine, you just need to make sure to not exceed that. I started out giving up coffee, but started drinking a cup a day after my first trimester. I was way too tired at work without it!

I limited my caffeine, but still had a cup some days. My doctor said that was fine. It's all about moderation.

I think it's okay to have a cup a day! That is what I have done through both of my pregnancies, and it is acceptable per APAs guidelines. The midwives I see also said it is fine.

I stopped drinking energy drinks when we were trying to get pregnant. I still drank a soda or a coffee a day to get me through. I have bad migraines and no caffeine does not work for me.

This is something to ask your doctor, but I drank a cup every morning and was fine.
