Since I'm pregnant again after losing the last, my doctor has told me to consider scheduling a c-section prior to my due date just in case. Has anyone done this? Any advice? I'm just entering my 2nd trimester so I have some time but am still concerned.

I had my 2nd daughter by scheduled CS. It was so much easier than I expected! Not going through labor makes a huge difference in how quickly you bounce back afterwards. It's a little surreal walking yourself to the operating room, but overall, I had a great experience!  Good luck to you!

Thank you, Kathryn! I've heard a lot of negative things about recovering from a c-section so I'm SO RELIEVED to finally hear someone say that!

lol yea I don't know how I'll take walking into the operating room and seeing everything - maybe I can have them cover everything but the bed and fill the room with happy music and flowers 😂

Thanks so much!

Ha ha happy music and flowers sounds perfect! I agree with Kathryn, it's a lot easier on your body than going through labor and ending up with a CS after that!

I had a c-section. I went through labor, and then ended up with urgent c-section due to my son's heart-rate dropping too low. It took a while to fully recover, but overall, I am actually pleased I never had a vaginal delivery. I still got to breastfeed, and am still breastfeeding(over one year later). You got this mama!

If your c-section scar is fairly new, I would suggest that yo don't lift anything. Call papa if you need help bending over or anything that might be strainuous.
