We had all vegan food. Some of the dishes/appetizers went with our baby shower theme.

We're serving things people can help themselves to, like pasta, appetizers, and a "momosa" bar

We did appetizers , then a nice little lunch with all healthy and pregnancy friendly foods. ( A lot of my friends were all pregnant too lol)

We had it at an Italian restaurant, so mini pizzas, pasta, and then a choice between a few entrees.

Brunch!  Pancakes, eggs, bacon, chicken, pasta, etc.  Brunch is easily done either at home or at a restaurant.

I agree with like the Italian buffet style! There are so many Italian restaurants by us that do it ! Yummy food as well

We had just little snacks like spicy pretzels, fruit and cake! We also had some really cute cookies made!

I come from a huge greek family so we did all greek dishes in huge portions! I think the more food the merrier!

All I wanted was little smokeys and deviled eggs. Safe to say no one really ate that, just desert.

Brunch! It's so easy to feed a crowd with egg casseroles, cinnamon rolls, fruit, bagels, etc. Plus a "mom"osa bar!

Food mama can eat!! my sister & stepmom threw my shower (so grateful for them) and they ordered sandwiches from the grocery store deli (tuna salad, chicken salad, & some deli meat for everyone else). but when they picked up, the deli had only made the deli meat sandwiches, which I couldn't eat being pregnanat. SO, moral of my story is.. make sure you have LOTS of different foods the mama can eat. Because she is the one carrying the baby lol

We had veggie tray, fruit, cucumber sandwiches, pasta salad, bbq and of course cake!

We had a cookout-hot dogs, hamburgers, pasta salad, fruit salad, cupcakes, and some of our friends brought other side dishes. It was great and there was tons of food for everyone.

It was supposed to be finger foods and little sandwiches and somehow it turned into a big buffet style thing. It was so delicious! It happened that way because my hubby's family loves to cook so they cooked all kinds of stuff like fried egg rolls, barbecue chicken, rice... I'm so hungry now!

I love good finger foods that are filling.  Or a mixture of different salads.  I guess it depends on if you are having brunch or lunch.

A good idea is to have some salty things, some crunchy things, some sweet items and some fresh items.

Chips and Dip, Crackers - Salty

Meatballs - Savory

Crunchy - A yummy pretzel mix

Sweet = Cupcakes or cookies

Fresh Fruit/ Veggie Tray

Do little finger foods that the children can enjoy and are healthy.

Healthy finger food, fresh veggies, small sandwiches and cupcakes

Sarah posted this 17 March 2020

We did a buffet style with finger foods - mini hot dogs, mini meatball sandwiches, fruit salad, veggies, french fries, then cupcakes

I like the breakfast idea! But we did finger foods. I've been to an intimate shower, with only 12 people, that was a full on plated lunch. It was cute, but only for that small of a group otherwise might get really expensive!

Lots of finger food and snacks. Cake is a must. Mine were always mid afternoon between meals so having a full spread didn't make sense.
