THIS MEDICATION CAN CAUSE HARM TO YOUR BABY: Carbamazepine should not be taken during pregnancy unless it is required to prevent seizures. Animal and human studies indicate that taking carbamazepine during pregnancy may be harmful to the developing baby. Breastfeeding is considered compatible with carbamazepine therapy, but infants should be monitored for side effects.
