What is methamphetamine?
Methamphetamine (MA) is an extremely addictive stimulant drug. It comes as a white powder, a pill, or as shiny bluish-white crystal (“crystal meth”). In can be taken orally, but also is sometimes injected, smoked as a vapor, snorted, or taken as suppository. In the United States, MA is a Schedule II drug, meaning that it can be prescribed for specific medical purposes, but has a high potential for abuse. It is very often obtained illegally.
